Sun-Tried-Day: Color Club Kaleidoscope Collection

Greetings All!

I told you there was more coming! I got this set at the same time as the Fiesta set, again for £7.99. This is also apparently a Spring 2013 collection, so extra bargainous!

Let's get straight into it! Evolution is a pale turquoise colour. 2 coats.

I really love this. It's perfect for Spring - cool, fresh and pretty.

In Theory is a peachy coral colour. 2 coats.

I didn't expect to like this much, but it's actually quite pretty. It looks OK on my skin, but if you are darker or you have a tan, I think it would really pop.

Endless is a very pale pink. 2 coats.

This has a very slight tinge to it, like raspberry yogurt instead of strawberry yogurt. Apart from that, I quite like it. A little too pale for me, maybe? I don't know. I like the colour in itself, just not so much on me!

Now, the fourth shade is meant to be a blue-green, called Abyss. I appear to have another bottle of Wld Cactus (good thing I bought both!). I don't know if they are dupes (apparently they are not!), whether there was a bottle mixup (and that's why they're cheap), or whether someone has swapped out another colour in the shop (hey, we've all done it!)

Here they are side by side.

And here they are on paper. Believe me, they are the same shade! Which is a bit of a shame, but never mind!

Bright Night is a medium blue. 2 coats.

This is another gorgeous blue! To me it's the stereotypical 'primary' blue, it doesn't have a rubber finish like Endless Summer, but it's really lovely. Looks like I'm pretty set for blues now lol.

The set also comes with a glittery, shimmery topcoat called Pearl-spective. I tried it over my 2 favourite shades from the collection.

It doesn't really do much for Evolution!

Although it's nicer over BN, it still isn't really my thing. I'm not a huge shimmer fan, and although you get pretty pink flashes, it seems to be in this slightly yellow base that isn't very appealing.

Again, there is good and bad in this collection. I think £8 for the three I like is pretty good though. I would definitely recommend looking out for Color Club though, if you can find them cheap. The dry time is really good, and they all have a nice formula (all 2 coaters!). And as for the Halo Hues, don't even get me started lol.

  1. I love all these as well! The blue in this set and the set you posted before look a bit similar as well.

I'm happy to be expanding my blue collection though lol I need some medium blues. And dark blues too!
