Winter Woods

I did this manicure a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't really into the Christmas spirit at the time, but I wanted something wintry.

I didn't do very well cleaning up, and close up my trees look fairly straggly, but it did look pretty from a 'normal' distance (I don't spend a lot of time with my nails that close to people's faces lol)

For the base I used Revlon 'Blue Lagoon', a lovely blue for winter, very pale with a hint of silver shimmer. For the trees I used Collection 2000 'Shadow' and a small nail art brush. I added a coat of OPI 'Pirouette My Whistle' (which you can barely see!) and then painted on some 'snow' with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails 'French White Tip'. The tips I did with the nail polish brush, and the dots with a dotting tool.

Are you keeping your manicures seasonal? Or are you desperate (like me!) to break out the bright summer colours?

I love it when you awesome people leave comments! I read and treasure them all, and I'll always respond to a question as soon as I can.
