Flip Flop February Challenge Day 2: Stained Glass or Accent Nail

Greetings All!

Today is day 2 of the FFF challenge. I decided to do stained glass nails because I haven't done them before, and they seemed a little more exciting than an accent nail. I suppose I could have done a stained glass accent nail, but never mind!

Instead of being sensible and finding a tutorial to follow, I made these up as I went along. I've been doing that a lot lately, it's very bad of me!

Not too bad for making it up as I went along! I started with my Models Own black nail art pen and painted random black lines across my nail (not quite as precisely as I would have liked!) and then used a nail art brush to paint random colours in the 'boxes'. That was it! Pretty easy. I think the trickiest part is choosing colours that work well together. These look a bit more 'patchwork' than stained glass, but I wanted a good mix of colours. I think next time I would use complimentary colours like blues and purples, or reds and oranges.

Colours used: Models Own black nail art pen, OPI The 'It' Color, Green-wich Village and Hong Kong Sunrise, Revlon Royal, Miss Sporty Orange and Asda Lavender Fantasy.

Tomorrow is watermarbling or dry marbling! Stay tuned for a very special first!

Make sure to check out what everyone else has chosen to do!
