Black Cat Lacquer: Love Will Tear Us Apart

Greetings All!

This is the third of my Black Cat Lacquer posts. I have one more to post, but I'll confess I'm already looking at more on Etsy! You can look too by clicking HERE.

"Love Will Tear Us Apart is made of all things gothy including black hearts, red shards and black dust" is how Sabrina describes this polish. OK so a black and red gothy glitter? Sign me up! I've also been a little curious about the hearts. Once upon a time, if you told me I would wear a nail polish with hearts in it, I wouldn't have believed you. However seeing them on other people's nails, I thought it might be fun to give them a try. And if I have to wear them, I'd prefer them to be black!

Once again I kind of got a little swatch crazy! First up is OPI Alpine Snow, and 2 coats of LWTUA. I should have used an off white, because this felt too pale with one coat.

This is 1 coat over OPI The It Color. I love the mix of red, black and yellow! No hearts though.

And finally over OPI Casino Royale.  Again I loved this colour combination, deep and dark but with the flashes of red. Still no hearts though.

So overall, I like this polish, but I don't quite love it. I'm not sure why. The hearts were very tricky for me to find, but then I didn't really get it for the hearts! I think it's maybe because it's a little harder to wear over darker colours, which is my first instinct for a polish like this. I should try it over a nude - that will help me make my mind up! I do really like the black dust though.

Once again, you can buy Black Cat Lacquers HERE, and so far I have found that you can't go wrong with them!

I'm saving my favourite until last, so look out for that!

All polishes were purchased by me and all opinions are my own.
