Greetings All!
Hope you are all having a good weekend!
Today I wanted to share with you some nails I wore on 'holiday' (I didn't really go anywhere, I just didn't have to go to work!). they are rather similar to some nails I have done before (in fact they're on my banner!). I'm not sure what the etiquette is for posting such similar nails, but I was really happy with them, so they're getting posted. If it's bad manners, then *blows raspberry*.
During my holiday I spent a day at the zoo (which was awesome!). Tigers are my favourite, so of course I had to have some tiger nails (and a tiger top too lol). Actually, already having a post about them came in really handy - I didn't have to think about what colours to use! My tiger stripe stamp collection has also increased in size, so I had plenty to choose from! If you wanted to check out the previous post, you can do so HERE.
I love a good tiger print!
These are a base of OPI Swedish Nude (which I just discovered is a black label and discontinued - check me out!), sponged with OPI Brights Power and Bronzed To Perfection (note to self - I need darker orange cremes!). I then stamped with BM16, CH2, GA27 and GA46, using Konad Black. I did matte them with Asda matte topcoat, but they have more of a 'satin' look. I was going to do another coat, but in the end I quite liked them like this.
Unfortunately the tigers weren't very impressed with my nails. I would have liked to paint theirs though - they have a nice big canvas to work on!
What's your favourite animal?
So as far as proper etiquette...ain't nobody got time to care what other people think! I love these. It's your blog do what makes you happy! I love the sponging of the orange on the mani. They look so realistic! I also love how you used different stamps.

DeleteLol you're right, and these did make me happy. It's not like I'm posting the exact same nails every week, the last ones were from...January! No one would notice if they weren't on my banner!
I love that I have so many tiger stamps! Not enough, but plenty lol
Wow, these are totally fab!! :-D ManisbyMoore is right - using the different stamping plates makes it sooo much more realistic. VERY smart idea! And woot woot for finding a HTF polish in YOUR STASH! hahaha
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI knew buying all those stamping plates was a good idea lol.
I think the only way I'll get HTF polishes is by accident!
This looks great and I think it's perfectly fine to re-do a favourite mani and post again. I love the colours you've used and poo! Swedish Nude is long-time lemming of mine!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI got it in a job lot on eBay, before I knew some polishes were harder to find lol - maybe I should check some of the others!
