Greetings All!
And so it has come upon us - the most dreaded of all challenge weeks - the watermarble. I find this to be the most difficult, time consuming and generally faffy nail technique out there. Still, I attempted it! For the second time ever.
I used the same colours I did last time (W7 Black and OPI The Thrill of Brazil), in the hope that I would be able to see some improvement. Here's a reminder of my first ever watermarble.
Certainly my pictures have improved, and my nails and cuticles are nicer now, but I'm not sure there is more of a difference skill-wise. I'm still rubbish at watermarbling!
This design grew on me a bit though - I quite like the abstract feel it has. It definitely looks marbled too, just not all that pretty! It's kind of cool though.
I'm not sure if I'll try this technique again! Probably only if it comes up in a challenge lol
I think it looks awesome! OK so some of the shapes aren't as defined as some water marbles but it looks pretty cool anyway! It's really interesting!

DeleteI don't think I'll ever nail the pretty shapes, but that's ok lol
While the design doesn't look like a typical water marble I think it still looks good. Looks like close up pictures of flower petals.

DeleteI kind of hated it to start with, but in the end it was quite hard to take it off!
I think it looks awesome! I'm obsessed with abstracts at the moment and this is almost making me consider water marbling again, despite how much I hate doing it. Only almost though... ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteIt's not worth it! Lol I did enjoy how abstract and unique it looks, but it was such a hassle to do!
I think you've improved :) water marble is so messy which always puts me off trying it again.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI might have improved, but only very slightly! It is messy, very messy!
You are really good at water marbling! I suck at them! I plan to try another though using the ziplock bag method.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI'm really not though. I think I'll retire this technique!
