Greetings All!
Guess what? I found another UK polish maker to share with you! Iconic Effect launched last month with their 'Can I Have A P Please, Bob?' collection, and I recently bought two polishes from their Etsy shop. This post gets a bit picture heavy, so let's dive straight in, shall we?
This is 2 coats of Pop Rocks over Models Own Blueberry Muffin.
It's a very pretty pale blue crelly, quite sheer, which is why I layered it over a blue base. It has magenta circles, and smaller glitter in pink, purple, blue and magenta. It's so fresh and cool looking! Just what I needed with all this hot weather!
This is 3 coats of Psychedelic Snarl (which is a brilliant name!) on it's own.
This is also quite sheer, but it has a lot of shimmer and sparkle, that distracts from the hint of vnl. The huge holographic circles are pretty amazing. This was without fishing - I just gave the bottle a good shake, and managed to pick up quite a few. Because of their size, they needed quite a thick topcoat, but nothing unmanageable. I was never really one for circles (you have to look very carefully to see that they're not hexes, so what's the point?), but these have converted me. They're so huge and rainbowy!
I also tried layering it. This is 2 coats over Maya Tranquilis. That's how indie I am now - even my undies are indie lol!
I love the big circle on my ring finger! It's so colourful!
Yeah, so these are both pretty amazing polishes. Application was fairly good - minimal placement of glitter (a little more with the big circles, but come on!), they did need a good layer of topcoat, but I do't really mind that. I think I prefer Pop Rocks slightly, because it's such a beautiful, delicate shade of blue, and I can't resist a crelly!
Unfortunately Iconic Effect seem to be a little bit low on stock at the moment, but they are restocking and launching new colours, hopefully next week! You can check their Facebook page for updates.
Beautiful! They've done a great job with these polishes! really must try some x
