Yet another Sally Hansen post! This time though I managed to combine two polishes in one post!
In addition to the seven I bought at Poundland, I also bought three from Fragrance Direct that came yesterday. I kind of want to order more already! I have nothing bad to say about any of these polishes, except for that one has been too pale for my skin tone (not the polishes fault!) they are fantastic quality and all the colours have been lovely, and complementary too!
First up is Fairy Teal. This is a lovely deep teal creme that went on in one coat! I love the richness of it, and I don't have anything quite like it in my collection, which is always nice. As with all the others, it didn't need any topcoat.
I've been messing around with the 'rotate' button lol |
Depending on the light, this leans towards blue or green. Either way it's lovely!
Being a one-coater, I obviously had to have a go at stamping with it. I thought this would be a perfect way to work in a second Sally Hansen! Grass Slipper was bought from Fragrance Direct for £1.49, and I'm having a bit of trouble describing it! Here it is:
Now, I would say that this is a little too light to be grass green. It's too muted for lime green, and it doesn't have enough yellow for toxic green! The best I could come up with is apple green. It's a beautiful shade though, perfect for spring. This is two coats and I love how juicy it is! It's lovely and bright, but without being too neon or garish.
Here it is with some nail art on it!
Apologies for the little finger - I was testing out a new topcoat! This is Fairy Teal, and plate BM225. I just stamped random bits of the design on each finger. It isn't 100% opaque, but that could well be my skills as opposed to the polish! I think the colours go really well together though.
For the next two days, I've managed to combine Sally Hansen's into the Flip Flop February Challenge, so there might not be a separate post. I do have 2 left to swatch though!
Oh I love your stamping choice! How perfect for those colors.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for Fairy Teal. I love it!
