Sun-Tried-Day Some Naild' It Swatches

Greetings All!

Another Sunday, another untried! 2 this week. My untried collection was getting smaller! Unfortunately (yeah, right!) I have been buying more polishes! The untried area is a little messy at the moment lol. I did begin to sort it out, grouping all the polishes by brand (sooo many OPIs!) but I kind of got about halfway through, then other stuff came up. Next week I MUST get them organized. I have a lovely new Helmer and everything, but I want to keep them separate, or some of them may never get used!

On to today's nails. I can't believe I waited so long to post these! I got these back in January as part of my first order from Llarowe. They were in the sale, and I do love a bargain! As they were in the sale, they aren't brand new colours, I'm sure many of you will have seen them before (probably ages ago lol) but they are new to me! My indie collection is pretty small at the moment so I'm easily excited lol

First up is Tiger Puke. I bought this primarily on the basis of the name! Aww, poor tiger!

Ahh, pretty tiger! This is a mix of gold and purple matte glitter and tiny little bars, like hair. I've not encountered anything like this before! It isn't as 'hairy' as normal bar glitter (which I have a love/hate thing with) but it is fairly textured. This is 2 coats with topcoat. Application and coverage were both very good. I love the colour combination, and it's just so...strange and unusual! I love it! As you can see, cleanup was quite difficult. it seemed to grip onto my cuticles a bit better than normal glitter. I did try to 'scrape' the loose bits, but I was a bit worried about damaging my cuticles (Sod's Law, I've found, when trying to take pictures!) but I know next time to be uber-careful when applying!

Of course, because this had tiger in the name, I had to stamp over it! I called this 'Tiger Pukes on Itself' (lol)

It's bold, but I like it! I wanted to use another colour to stamp with, but I didn't know how well it would show up. Next time I want to use purple! Again, I love how unusual it is. All of that colour and glitter and pinpricks of light under the black!

Next up is Froggy Pond. This was the unexpected star of the whole order (which included Jade Mystic Gold, so you know this has to be good lol). The picture on Llarowe wasn't extremely clear, but then this is a tricky polish to capture! It went in my basket kind of as a whim, but I am sooo glad it did!

Look at it!! This. Is. Amazing! A mix of gold, black and turquoise-y green matte glitter, and little purple round lilypads. Aww! I seem to be really coming around to green polishes. I always think green is a bit 'meh' and not really me, but then quite a few of my favourites are green! I guess it is me lol. I love the colour effect on this. It looks like the skin of an exotic lizard or frog or something (let's say frog lol). This is again 2 coats, with topcoat (it's SV. You can tell by the SHRINKAGE grrrr!). Again, no problems with application. Again, cleanup was tricky! I couldn't bear to put anything over this, so no nail art. This polish is art all by itself!

So, can you tell that I love these?! When I first started seeing indie polishes, I assumed they were all just glitterbombs and the like. These are very different to anything I had seen before! I'm still far from getting obsessed with indies (there's too much choice. I can't even begin to get my head around it all lol there's more indie brands than shades of OPI!) but I'm really glad I got these. And on sale!

What's your favourite indie brand? Or are you a total amateur like me?
