Greetings All!
Pocket Money Polishes is a brand that has featured on numerous occasions on the blog. Charlie, the creator, is a super sweet girl, and is always willing to help out with that indie polish fix! This time I have four polishes from her latest collection, which will be available here on September 1st. As with all her collections, each polish is named after a song. There are a lot of pictures in this post, so let's get on with it!
Eye of The Tiger I had to own. It has black stars! This is 2 coats over Barry M Bright Purple.
I love the orange and black together, with a little sprinkle of gold. It's a very cute polish, and perfect for Autumn! I managed to get some stars out fairly easily, but of course there weren't enough for me lol. I do love stars. I'm also loving this rich, deep orange.
This is The Life is a sparkly purple mix. This is 2 coats over Barry M SLE2013 B (catchy name, huh. It's a neon green).
This one isn't as 'chunky' as a lot of Charlie's glitters, but that isn't a bad thing. This ties together very nicely, and I love all the different colours and shades together. It also just occurred to me that I would love to see this over lilac lol.
Brown Eyed Girl captured me with it's unusual combination of colour. Again, 2 coats, over Color Club Evolution.
I thought the turquoise would work well with all the colours in BEG, and I really like how it looks. The browns and gold are very Autumn, and the pop of pink really spices it up! I don't think I've seen these colours used together before, but they work really, really well!
Lastly is Forever. This is 2 coats over OPI Do You Think I'm Tex-y.
So, let's see. This one has black glitter. And circles. Erm, win! It's like painting a ladybird on my nails, which is why I went for a reddish colour. I can't decide if this or EOTT is my favourite of the collection - I love them both.
Jelly polish can only mean one thing - jelly sandwich.
I love what this does to those little, well behaved iridescent bars. I have collected quite a few black glitters, but this one goes right near the top, because circles, iridescence, and general awesomeness!
As ever, application was great. Even though these are mini bottles, the brush is a decent size, you get a good dispersal of glitter, and although some are sparser than others, they all build well. There is occasionally a little fishing required for the bigger glitters, but nothing major.
This collection launches, with four more newbies, on September 1st (Sunday!). You can find all the details here, and also on Charlie's blog and Facebook. The launch is at 6pm.
These polishes were purchased by me, and all opinions are my own!
