New UK Indies - Nail Lacquer UK

Greetings All!

Yes, another UK indie brand! They're springing up all over the place, which I absolutely love! It's a cheaper and faster way to get that indie fix lol, plus it feels good to be supporting our talented 'local' ladies (relatively local!). As a keen supporter, it's also a great excuse to add to my collection!

Today I am showing you three polishes from Nail Lacquer UK, whose Etsy shop opened only two weeks ago! Of course, as soon as I learned this, I headed on over there to grab a few beauties. Then I took lots of pictures, so be prepared!

Can't Stop The Glitter (why would you want to?!) is a mix of different sized matte white hexes, matte white glitter, black glitter, and metallic rainbow glitter, some of which is holographic. This is one coat plus touch up over Color Club Shabby Drab.

This is a lovely mix of glitter - I've tried black and white, now let's add some colour! I like the teeny tiny white glitter, although it does remind me of winter, especially over this not-quite-grey-not-quite-purple base colour. The juxtaposition of matte and metallic is also quite fun, as it makes the colours look even more sparkly. It's probably pretty versatile too - the coloured glitter is fairly sparse, so you wouldn't lose much if you put it over a matching base colour.

Don't Stay Up Too Late (which I always do, then regret when I have to get up at insane o' clock for work) is from the Happy Birthday collection, and comes with a super cute charm, in the shape of a piece of cake! I'm a sucker for small, cute things, so I love that. This is 3 coats with no undies.

This one is a little trickier. In some lights (and on Etsy) this is a blue polish. However in other lights it leans more green, like a duck egg colour. It also covers up a lot of the glitter, so you get this more subdued look. If I were in a subtle mood, it's perfect, but I'm not usually very subtle lol. I would prefer it with just a bit more punch, with the glitter just a little bit more visible.

This soft, dreamy polish was just crying out for a matte finish.

See.

I Will Rainbow On You is a fantastic name. Rainbow as a verb? Fabulous. It's a weird, almost slightly threatening name and I love it. Unsurprisingly, it's a mix of rainbow coloured glitter! This is 2 coats plus touch ups over W7 Black Cherry.

I will admit that this isn't especially unique, but that doesn't stop it being absolutely gorgeous! The glitter ratio is just right - it's jewelly and sparkly and so so pretty! It really is a rainbow on my nails!

Are you ready for this? With matte topcoat.

Nnngh I can't cope! It's pure polish perfection! It's like jewels and butterflies and stained glass. So so beautiful!!

All three applied without problems, they dried fairly fast and were generally pretty great polishes to use! DSUTL was a little streaky at first, but it evened out very well.

You can buy Nail Lacquer UK polish here, or why not head over to her blog to see some super cute nail art!
