UK Indies - Pocket Money Polishes - School's Out and I Want Candy

Greetings All!

I have more UK indies for you! A few months ago, you couldn't find them anywhere. Now I'm struggling to keep on top of them!

Pocket Money Polishes launched in June, and Charlie has already launched her third collection! With plans for a fourth in September, AND a plot to conquer America! No joke, her polishes are going to be available (for a very short time) Stateside, so keep up to date here if you fancy owning your own British indie (how exciting is that?!).

Today I am showing you two polishes from the 'Singles', polishes that are released separately from collections. All her polishes are named after songs.

School's Out I had to have, because I am a fan of Alice Cooper. Red, yellow and blue matte glitter. This is 2 coats over Barry M Black and Beauty UK White.

I tried to be more imaginative with my base choices, but in the end, it had to be black and white. I especially love it over black! It's so cute - it's a bit like a baby Glitzology Crunch Berry (which I also love!). There's something about the simplicity of matte, primary colours that's just perfect.

I Want Candy is a neon explosion of colour! This is 2 coat over Beauty UK Jelly Bean.

Unlike a lot of neon glitters, this one is opaque, so you can layer it over dark colours without losing any of the 'pow' effect. This is Charlie's best selling polish so far, and it's easy to see why! You can add a hint of colour and fun to any manicure, or go for full on neon glitter. I also love that it has teeny tiny glitter in - the red and yellow really ties it all together and makes it a complete polish, rather than random chunks of bright colours.

I was chatting to Charlie about glitter toppers versus glitters in a coloured base, and she mentioned that she would like to see her polishes in a glitter sandwich. So here's I Want Candy with OPI Barre My Soul, 2 coats underneath and 2 over the top.

It's a much less 'neon' neon - it's still very bright and colourful, but much softer at the same time. I especially love the colour next to the soft, creamy nude.

Both of these polishes are currently sold out, but there is a restock on August 12th so keep an eye out on the website and facebook page. While you're waiting for the restock, head on over to Charlie's blog!

I also have 2 polishes from the August collection, so keep an eye out for those very soon!

    1. It's quite versatile - not only does it go with lots of colours, but it also looks good softened down!

She obviously really knows what she's doing - every baby is fabulous, and really well thought out.
